The Muse: Restoring Our Energy the the Grand Foyer

As summer gives way to fall, we invite you to pause, reconnect, and restore: your energy, your spirit, and a little bit of the United Palace. For nearly a century, the Grand Foyer has welcomed our community through its doors, surrounding generations of visitors with extraordinary beauty and art. This year, as we look toward the Palace’s centennial in 2030, we’ve begun restoring the Foyer to its former grandeur after more than 50 years since its last paint job. Now, we invite our Muse community to become part of that restoration.

Join us on the evening of Wednesday, September 23 for a special hands-on Muse experience in the Grand Foyer. Led by our house painter, Jose Liriano, participants will help restore the color and beauty of this beloved space. No prior painting experience required, just a love for the United Palace and the art, history, and community it holds. As we restore the Palace together, we’ll also create space to restore something within ourselves. Through the simple, grounding act of working with our hands and caring for our shared community home, we’ll infuse the Grand Foyer with our collective love, intention, and energy as we enter a new season. Come paint, connect, and restore with us.

The Muse is a monthly program dedicated to celebrating inspiration, the arts, and community. It brings together open-minded artists and art lovers to explore the many ways inspiration, or The Muse, elevates our daily lives. Through shared human experiences, creative expression, and a deep love for the arts, we reflect on life’s biggest questions, uncovering new meaning in the world around us through intimate interventions throughout the United Palace.
